Before Our Eyes?
Plus UFO ATTACK ON WASHINGTON, DC and NICAP
While more-or-less factual, this overly-dramatic program provides an overview
of the state of UFO research circa 1966 and contains some excellent sound bites
from early-era kooks as well as serious researchers.
THE UFO ATTACK ON
WASHINGTON, DC: August of 1952 became known as "The Summer of The Saucers" when
numerous UFOs were seen--and many tracked on radar--for several weeks over the
United States capitol. They repeatedly violated restricted airspace including
flying near and/or over the White House and the Capitol Building and flew at
rates of speed in excess of 7000 miles an hour! In these two interview excerpts
you'll hear Al Chop, The Pentagon's Public Relations Officer at the time, give
an overview of the events followed by newsman John Dailey's interview of James
Ritchie of the Civil Aeronautics Association, who seems at a loss to explain
the strange incidents.
1966 radio interview
with Bill Donovan of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena
(NICAP) during it's heyday. He discusses misidentifications vs. valid sightings,
pilot reports, Air Force restriction of publication of sightings by military
personnel (and even commercial pilots,) and a discussion of foreign sightings
(Russia, Chile, and Argentina) and how they're handled by their respective governments.
Donovan then goes into detail about yet another astronaut UFO sighting--namely
James McDivitt's sighting of (and report on) a "bogey" during his Gemini IV
space flight. There's also a brief discussion of changing geographic patterns
on the moon and the possible use of the moon as a defense base either by the
US or Russia and the 1955 statement by Gen Douglas McArthur that "the next war
would be interplanetary."
THE PASCAGOULA
INCIDENT Audio
CD - Pascagoula (Mississippi) abduction On the evening of October 11, 1973,
while fishing in the Pascagoula River, Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker claimed
they not only saw a strange, egg and saucer-shaped object, but were abducted
by three creatures. The beings floated from the object, captured both men, and
took them up into the craft where they were subjected to a medical-type examination.
When the examination was over, the men were returned to their original location.
The craft was described
as blue-gray in color, saucer-shaped, and had two portholes. Hickson said it
made a sustained “buzzing” noise and had a flashing blue light. The aliens were
described as mummy-like with crab-like pinchers for hands, a pointy nose, and
pointy ears. These creatures floated out of the saucer and moved around like
robots, according to Hickson. According to Hickson and Parker, they didn’t know
what to do, so they had a couple of drinks. Hickson, who would claim he wanted
no publicity, first sought out reporters, but could not find any. He finally
went to the local sheriff and told the story. After 20 years Calvin Parker says
he was abducted again! About One hour.

Saucer Story
Audio CD featuring world famous news commentator Frank Edwards of the Mutual
Radio Network. He is interviewed by a panel of people including Long John Nebel.
Very interesting listening, even through the "cracks" and "pops" of the recording.
It's not the clearest recording sometimes, but Frank Edwards voice cuts through
like a sharp knife.
