September 19, 1961: In the White Mountains of New Hampshire, something happened to Betty and Barney Hill that would change their lives forever...
While driving south on U.S. Route 3 to their home in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the Hills observed a huge, silent UFO hovering in the air above the road. After departing the encounter area the Hills became aware that they were 35 miles south of Lincoln - and they could not account for a two-hour period of "missing time". They reported the UFO sighting to Pease Air Force Base and it became part of the Air Force' official Project Blue Book record. Under separate hypnotic regression, Betty and Barney Hill revealed details of an alleged abduction by extraterrestrial beings. This was the first widely publicized UFO abduction report. Their claim generated much interest in the scientific community as it was supported by collaborating evidence. The Hill's UFO encounter has become a vital part in the public's consciousness regarding the UFO phenomenon.
September 23: Tour Welcome at Indian Head Resort
Arrival this afternoon in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Check-in at The Indian Head Resort and enjoy a special welcome cocktail reception before dinner. Special Welcome Dinner tonight including some of Betty and Barney's favorite foods in the Profile Dining Room. September 24: Memorial Dedication / Guided Tour
Breakfast Buffet and Omelet Bar this morning. Today we begin with a special dedication ceremony of the Hill's Memorial Plaque. Join the local press as we commemorate Betty and Barney Hill's place in UFO history on the very spot where it happened. Pick up your copies of Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience, and get your book personally autographed by Co-Author, Kathleen Marden. Lunch on your own at leisure. Afternoon Guided Tour along the UFO abduction route, including the area of Franconia Notch, Sugar Hill Sampler and Museum. Transfer back to the Indian Head Resort for cocktails and photos with Author, Kathleen Marden in the Thunderbird Lounge. Dinner (Betty and Barney Hill's favorite dishes). September 25: Guided Tour of UFO Abduction Route
Breakfast Buffet and Omelet Bar this morning. This morning at leisure to enjoy the facilities of Indian Head Resort, take a stroll through the enchanting countryside, relax by the lake, or do some souvenir shopping. Lunch on your own at leisure in the hotel. This afternoon we will continue our Guided Tour of the Hill's UFO abduction route. Transfer back to Indian Head Resort. Farewell Evening tonight beginning in the lounge, and continuing with closing remarks at dinner. Evening Entertainment in the Lounge. Overnight Indian Head Resort - Lincoln, NH. (B, D)
